Robert Adams,BDS, FDS RCS (Eng), MSurgDent RCS,
MSc (UCL, Implant Dentistry)
 Mr Adams graduated from Cardiff University Dental School in 1992. Following graduation he spent eight years in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery positions becoming a Registered Specialist in Surgical Dentistry. He was awarded Fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons of England in 1995 and Membership in Surgical Dentistry of the Royal College of Surgeons in 2000. Mr Adams has since achieved a Masters Degree with distinction in Dental Implantology having undertaken an MSc programme at the prestigious Eastman Dental Hospital , London . This is currently the most comprehensive implant training available in the UK .
Mr Adams is a member of the Association of Dental Implantology and the European Association of Osseointegration. He has lectured nationally on the surgical aspects of implantology and has helped establish and run dental implant training courses and bone grafting courses at the University of Wales , College of Medicine . Mr Adams is Dental Implantologist for the Lund Osler Dental Healthcare group. This is an advanced cosmetic dentistry group based in Knightsbridge and Harvey Nichols, Manchester . Lund Osler has featured in many magazine and television articles and has recently completed its fourth series of "10 years younger" on Channel 4. Mr Adams welcomes referrals for all aspects of dental implant treatments. His particular area of clinical interest is the reconstruction of missing bone and gum tissue. This greatly improves the cosmetic results of dental implant treatments.
Dr Stephan S Eidam, Dr. Med. Dent., M.S.
Periodontal Specialist
 Dr Eidam qualified as a Doctor of Medical Dentistry from the University of Ulm, Germany in 1990, and spent four years working as a general practitioner before moving to the United States to take a three-year specialist training programme in periodontology at the University of Minnesota.
He has worked as a periodontist in several locations including Galway, Ireland and also the Marquette University in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, where he held the position of Assistant Professor of Periodontics.
Dr Eidam is a member of the German Society of Periodontology.
As well as working with Redcliffe as our in-house periodontal specialist, he also runs a private practice in Karlsruhe, Germany.
Dr Eidam welcomes referrals for more complex cases of periodontal disease.
Dr John Chambers MB ChB FRCA
Consultant Anaesthetist
 Dr
Chambers is our anaesthetic and sedation expert.
He qualified as a Bachelor of Medicine and a Bachelor
of Surgery at the University of Liverpool in 1967,
and became a Fellow of the Royal College of Anaesthetists
in 1972. He has worked as a Consultant Anaesthetist
at Arrowe Park and Clatterbridge Hospitals since
1975. He also serves with the Territorial Army,
as a Major with the Royal Army Medical Corps,
and in 2004 was mobilised to Iraq as Lieutenant
Colonel, serving as Consultant Anaesthetist and
Intensive Care Physician.
Dr Chambers is often called upon by Redcliffe
to help with sedation of particularly nervous
patients, or to administer sedation to patients
who are undergoing particularly complex dental
procedures.
Mr Carl Jones BChD MBChB FDSRCS FRCS
FRCS(OMFS)
Consultant in Oral and Maxillo-Facial Surgery
 Mr
Jones is a Consultant Maxillo-Facial Surgeon at
Arrowe Park Hospital and BUPA Murrayfield Hospital.
He graduated in dentistry at Leeds Univeristy
in 1983, and went on to graduate in medicine at
Liverpool University in 1992. After a period of
general surgical training, Carl entered higher
training in facial surgery and was appointed as
a consultant in 2000. He is a Fellow of the British
Association of Oral and Maxillo-Facial Surgeons
and the European Academy of Facial Plastic Surgery.
Mr Jones practices a full range of oral and maxillo-facial
surgery, and is particularly interested in dental
implants, together with cosmetic facial surgery.
Mr Jones can also carry out facial rejuvenation
treatments to help remove lines and wrinkles including
crows feet and smile and frown lines.
He takes referrals at Redcliffe for dental implants
as well as for all aspects of oral surgery including
wisdom tooth removal. |
