Dentists:
Rosie Steere, BDS (Liverpool) 1979
Mrs Steere has worked in dental practices for
over 20 years, and initially worked for a short
time at Liverpool Dental Hospital as a House Officer
shortly after qualifying. Mrs Steere bought and
created Redcliffe in 2001. Since then, she has
devoted herself to making Redcliffe a state-of-the-art
dental centre with numerous specialities. Mrs
Steere has completed many advanced postgraduate
courses, including passing her postgraduate examination
at the Royal College of Surgeons of England. She
is interested in all types of restorative dentistry,
cosmetic work and the CEREC® 3D
system Mrs Steere is married to a local GP and
has three children and enjoys watersports and
skiing in her spare time.
Michael Hickley, BDS (Liverpool) 1978,
LDS, RCS. (Eng)
Mr
Hickley joined John Darbyshire’s practice
in Neston as an associate on qualification from
Liverpool in 1978. He became a partner in the
practice in 1985, and on John Darbyshire’s
retirement from NHS dentistry in 1995, Mr Hickley
became the practice’s principal. When the
practice moved to its current location in 2001,
he went into partnership with Mrs Steere. Mr Hickley’s
main dental interests lie in restorative dentistry,
providing solutions for patients who are unhappy
with the appearance of their teeth. He is married
with 3 children, and is a member of Neston Cricket
Club and Heswall Golf Club.
Ed Atkin, BDS (Liverpool) 2003
Mr
Atkin qualified in 2003 at Liverpool University,
and joined us as a vocational trainee for a year
immediately afterwards. He clearly made a good
impression, as he has been working with us as
an associate ever since! He is particularly interested
in working with our CEREC® system,
which provides same-day crowns, white fillings
and inlays and onlays, plus digital X-rays and
restorative dentistry. Mr Atkin is married with
six children, and lists computers as his main
hobby.
Brian Grieveson, BDS (Newcastle) 1972,
MFGDP (UK), MGDS
Mr
Grieveson graduated from the University of Newcastle
upon Tyne in 1972 and has had a long and distinguished
career in dentistry and in the dental academic
world. He moved to Liverpool in 2001 to take up
the post of Postgraduate Dental Dean at the University
of Liverpool, and a part-time lectureship in Restorative
Dentistry at the Liverpool Dental School and Hospital.
He particularly enjoys the challenges of endodontics
(root canal treatment), and in his spare time
loves rugby, skiing and fly fishing.
Robert Adams,BDS, FDS RCS (Eng), MSurgDent RCS,
MSc (UCL, Implant Dentistry)
Mr Adams graduated from Cardiff University Dental School in 1992. Following graduation he spent eight years in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery positions becoming a Registered Specialist in Surgical Dentistry. He was awarded Fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons of England in 1995 and Membership in Surgical Dentistry of the Royal College of Surgeons in 2000. Mr Adams has since achieved a Masters Degree with distinction in Dental Implantology having undertaken an MSc programme at the prestigious Eastman Dental Hospital , London . This is currently the most comprehensive implant training available in the UK .
Mr Adams is a member of the Association of Dental Implantology and the European Association of Osseointegration. He has lectured nationally on the surgical aspects of implantology and has helped establish and run dental implant training courses and bone grafting courses at the University of Wales , College of Medicine . Mr Adams is Dental Implantologist for the Lund Osler Dental Healthcare group. This is an advanced cosmetic dentistry group based in Knightsbridge and Harvey Nichols, Manchester . Lund Osler has featured in many magazine and television articles and has recently completed its fourth series of "10 years younger" on Channel 4. Mr Adams welcomes referrals for all aspects of dental implant treatments. His particular area of clinical interest is the reconstruction of missing bone and gum tissue. This greatly improves the cosmetic results of dental implant treatments.
Hygienists:
Gill Stagg, EDH (Liverpool) 1994
Mrs
Stagg gained her diploma in dental hygiene in
1993 and she joined Redcliffe in 2001. When not
helping our patients to keep their mouths in good
condition, she enjoys aerobics and walking, and
has taken part in several walks and runs for charity.
Julee Fisher, EDH, (Aldershot) 1994
Julee
qualified as a hygienist at the Royal Army Dental
Corps in Aldershot in 1996, and joined Redcliffe
in 2001. She loves all aspects of her work, and
when not at the practice enjoys skiing, running,
reading and making greetings cards.
