How we helped one patient
At Redcliffe Dental Practice and Specialist Referral Centre we do our best to go the extra mile for patients, particularly when they are in severe pain.
Last Saturday was no different when, at 6.15am, we received an emergency appointment request via our website, from a patient in severe pain.
The patient, had been struggling with an infected wisdom tooth, and her NHS hospital appointment to have the tooth extracted was over 6 weeks away.
By 7.30am that morning she had been called back by a dentist, and booked in to see Dr Rosie Steere for an initial appointment. After an initial examination the patient was referred to see Dr George, a dentist with a Masters Degree in Restorative Dentistry from the prestigious Eastman Dental Institute, later that morning.
By 11am Dr George had successfully extracted the wisdom tooth and the patient was able to leave to enjoy the rest of her weekend.
This is a great demonstration of how important customer service is to us at Redcliffe, and also highlights the benefits to patients of having such a strong clinical team of dentists and specialists located on-site.
We were delighted the patient did not have to wait 6 weeks for her NHS appointment, and above all, that she left the practice happy and pain free.
